Biodegradable

It is an unfortunate fact that the packaging we dispose of, which is mainly made of plastic, often makes its way into the sea.

The convenience of using plastic has led to a throw-away culture that reveals the material’s dark side: many of these products, such as plastic food wrappers, remain in the environment for hundreds of years.

Plastic waste breaks into small particles called microplastics, that, according to National Geographic, are spread throughout the water column and have been found in every corner of the globe, from Mount Everest – the highest peak, to the Mariana Trench – the deepest trough.

Sylvicta breaks down in soil and marine environments. The OK biodegradable SOIL label guarantees Sylvicta will completely biodegrade in the soil without adversely affecting the environment. In addition, Sylvicta complies with the Marine Aerobic Disintegration Test indicating that it will disintegrates in sea water.

Fluorchemical free

Fluorochemicals Free

Sylvicta does not contain PFAS (Per- and Polyfluorinated Substances) nor is it treated with sulfuric acid or harmful chemicals.

Sustainable Pulp

Wood is the starting point for making paper. Forest certification helps to conserve biodiversity and preserve habitats and biotypes, typical of natural forests.

The wood used to manufacture Sylvicta’s pulp comes from sustainably managed forests. Our mill has certified environmental management systems (ISO 14001), quality management systems (ISO 9001), and health and safety at work systems (ISO 45001), as well as FSC® Chain of Custody.
